CONSIGNMENT RULES:

• Consignments are accepted by appointment. We never want you to have to wait while we assist someone else! We are very flexible with appointment times. Please call us for availability.

• Clothing must be brought in clean (preferably non scented detergent); pressed if necessary and on hangers .

• Clothing must be in excellent condition and ready to sell when it arrives to the store – no missing buttons, broken zippers, tears, pilling, or stains/odors. The better the item looks, the more likely it is to sell and the more money you will receive.

• Shoes, diaper bags, furniture and accessories must be cleaned inside and out and in nearly mint condition. Furniture must be fully assembled. Before bringing in large items, please contact us, as space is limited.

• Please do not be offended if we do not sell all of your items. We are here to sell for you and promise you that we will try our hardest to sell each item we put into our store.

• Hazardous or recalled items will not be accepted. Please check http://www.recalls.gov before consigning your items with us.

• At the time of your appointment you will be required to fill out a drop off form and agreement. If you choose to have items returned to you, we will call you once we inspect the items and then you will have 24 hours to pick up the items. After 24 hours all items will be donated to a charity of Expecting You’'s choice.

• Items are priced by Expecting You.  Prices are determined based on retail sales value.  We try to price items between 1/3 and 1/2 of their original retail sales price depending on the condition, brand, style, size and demand. Please trust that your items will be priced at the market rate for resale clothing.

• We receive 60% commission on consigned clothing and all miscellaneous merchandise. 50% on Furniture, Strollers, Designer Doaper Bags and Designer Jeans.

• The consignment contract is for 90 days. After approximately 60 days, items will be reduced to 50%. After 90 days, clothing and all other items will be donated to a charity of Expecting You’'s choice.

• Expecting You will strive to provide a safe and secure system for the care and sale of your items.  However, it is understood that no system is perfect.  We assume no responsibility for loss or damage to merchandise by fire, theft, vandalism, wear and tear on clothing, water or circumstances beyond our control.
